Jeld-Wen makes an acquisition in Australia
Jeld-Wen has agreed to acquire Trend Windows & Doors, a prominent window and door manufacturer in Australia.
Trend produces aluminum, timber and thermal energy-efficient windows and doors under a variety of brand names, including: Trend, Synergy, Quantum, Quantum XP Windows, Crestlite (commercial), Trend thermAL Energy Efficiency, Thermashield, SoundMizer and Xtreme Bushfire Protection Windows & Doors.
The move will expand Jeld-Wen's existing presence in Australia, which currently includes Corinthian, Aneeta, Regency, Stegbar, Airlite, William Russell Doors, and Jeld-Wen Glass.
Trend was founded in 1968 and has a number of manufacturing and showroom facilities across eastern Australia.
The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2016, and is subject to customary closing conditions.
