Installed Building Products' Becky Karam gets an award

Becky Karam, director of risk management for Installed Building Products, recently won a Key Person Award from the Insulation Contractors Association of America (ICAA).

"I was very surprised and honored to receive this award," said Karam. "The ICAA is an excellent resource for our industry and membership's active participation is what makes this association special."

Karam received the award last week at the 2014 ICAA Conference and Trade Show in Orlando, Florida, where more than 660 insulation suppliers, contractors, trade associations and government officials were in attendance.

Karam has been working with Installed Building Products since 1997, the last nine years of which were spent serving as head of the Risk Department. She also chaired the ICAA Respiratory Task Force and took charge of an initiative to update and expand the 2011 ICAA Model Respiratory Protection Program.

"Becky and her team worked hard to create and implement real-world solutions in our industry to minimize exposure," said Jeff Edwards, CEO of IBP. "We are excited she has received this national award recognizing her dedication."
