iLevel receives first NAHB “Green Approved” product seal

The NAHB Research Center has introduced its “Green Approved” product seal of approval and has awarded the first certificates under the new designation to structural frame products from iLevel by Weyerhaeuser.

The seal provides third-party evidence that the building product has met scoring criteria for homes seeking certification to the National Green Building Standard, a consensus-developed standard that was recently approved by ANSI. Green Approved products can be found from links on the Green Scoring Tool at www.nahbgreen.org.

iLevel’s NAHB Research Center Green Approved products include TJI joists, TimberStrand laminated strand lumber, Parallam parallel strand lumber, Microllam laminated veneer lumber, iLevel Framer Series Lumber, iLevel Premium Joists and other wood structural framing products.

“In addition to our products being certified to the Sustainable Forestry Initiative standard, the Green Approved product designation empowers builders to make an informed choice on products in their homes and simplifies the documentation process tremendously,” said Susan Swirsley, director of brand marketing for iLevel.
