Homeowners are worried (rightly) over project costs

Two-thirds of homeowners have concerns about over-paying on a home project, according to survey data released from Home Advisor, an online contractor listing service.

The company also released a list of 10 popular “true costs” of projects stats. These 10 projects range in price from “Remodel a bathroom,” $9,000; to “Clean a septic tank,” $450.

Also, 35% of homeowners report paying more than quoted for a project.
