Home Hardware Center to move Vidalia, La., store
Home Hardware Center, a 15-store chain with locations in Mississippi and Louisiana, is relocating its Vidalia, La., store to a larger building, according to the Natchez Democrat newspaper.
Home Hardware Center owner Jimmy Smith and two other businessmen purchased Vidalia Shopping Center and are in the process of refurbishing its buildings. Home Hardware will be moved to the shopping center once the improvements are completed -- by March 2009, Smith said. The store has been in its current location for 20 years.
The new, 23,000-square-foot building is four times the size of the current store and will provide additional space for lumber and building materials, appliances and flooring. The store will also offer work wear and a boot department.
