FBM makes a pair of acquisitions
Foundation Building Materials, Inc. (FBM), one of the nation’s largest specialty distributors, has acquired Joe’s Wallboard Supply Co. in Colorado Springs, Colo. and The Supply Guy in Lakewood, Wash.
Terms of the deals were not disclosed.
Founded in 1997, Joe’s Wallboard Supply is an independent distributor of drywall and accessories, steel framing, insulation, and tools and fasteners.
The Supply Guy, Inc., founded in 1996, is an independent distributor of tools, fasteners, and other related products.
“With the closing of these transactions, FBM enters the growing Colorado Springs market and builds its complementary products business in the Pacific Northwest,” said Ruben Mendoza, CEO of FBM. “These two companies have a strong and successful history, largely created by the talent of their management and employees and long-standing customer relationships.”
Foundation Building Materials distributes wallboard, suspended ceiling systems, metal framing, and complementary products throughout the United States and Canada. Based in Santa Ana, Calif., the company employs more than 3,400 people and operates more than 175 branches.
This past May, the company acquired Select Acoustics Supply in Toronto, Canada.
