Executive shift at Central Garden & Pet

Central Garden & Pet, the Walnut Creek, Calif., maker of grass and birdseed, fertilizer, pottery and pet supplies, has announced the resignation of Stuart Booth as its executive VP, secretary and CFO. In an April 1 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, the company said that Booth will transition into a new role as “a consultant … for key corporate projects.”

Booth also “intends to make himself available for significant positions with other non-competing companies, including serving as an outside director and performing other outside financial consulting work, as well as continuing his association with the company,” the SEC filing said.

Central Garden & Pet brands include Pennington, Kaytee, Amdro, Sevin, Ironite and Nylabone.
