Dealers continue lobbying efforts
The building material industry is looking for a few good advocates.
The 2016 Spring Meeting and Legislative Conference can put those advocates to good use. The event is designed to advance the common interests of the National Lumber and Building Material Dealers Association, the Window and Door Manufacturers Association and the Northeast Window and Door Association. It’s slated for April 18-20 in the nation’s Capitol.
In a letter co-signed by leaders representing the three groups, dealers everywhere are invited to join the legislative effort in Washington, D.C.
“No one knows our legislative challenges better than you, and through telling your personal stories you become a persuasive and powerful advocate for policies that will make the economy and our industry stronger,” reads the letter.
In addition to walking and talking with lawmakers during Hill visits, the event will include networking and education.
“For those of you who will be joining us for the very first time, we assure you that being part of the political process is an amazing experience and an invaluable use of your time,” according to the associations.
The NLBMDA and WDMA have been cooperating to host the event for the past seven years. The NWDA joined the united effort two years ago.
