For Coastal, store number 17

Coastal Farm and Ranch promotes itself as “just what the country needs.” The retailer is filling a need specifically in Marysville, Wash., site of the chain’s 17th store.

The official grand opening ceremony will come in March, but the store is open for business in a renovated Kmart. The store contains 70,000- sq. ft. of indoor and outdoor selling space.

According to an article in the Capital Press, about one-third of the 50,000-sq.-ft. indoor store is devoted to clothing and boots. Another third features hardware, automotive supplies and other similar products. The remainder of the store sells farm equipment, animal health goods and feed.

The company was attracted to the Marysville location for its thriving farm and rural community, according to the article.
