CertainTeed updates siding offering

Valley Forge, Pa.-based CertainTeed has updated its Vinyl Carpentry siding accessory collection to provide more home exterior design options.

Specifically, a 3.5-in. Fluted Corner, available in Colonial White, is a new subtle corner upgrade that adds character to a home with true-to-wood dimensions at a reasonable cost, according to the company. And the Flexible J-Channel, which is useful around curved windows and ventilation treatments, has an improved design that has been modified to further enhance performance. It is also now being offered in white, clay, fray and beige. 

“We know that building professionals need to be equipped with outstanding exterior finishing options to wow their homeowner customers, and the newest updates demonstrate how we continue to challenge ourselves to provide the highest quality and innovative details that make a house a ‘home,’ ” said Robert Clark, product manager for CertainTeed Siding. “Each accessory is easy to install and adds distinction to windows, doors, corners, gables and frieze boards for a more personalized look.”

The 3.5-in. Fluted Corner is 10 ft. long with a ¾-in. pocket that gives a decorative corner option for standard-sized home construction or remodeling projects on a tight budget. The new Flexible J-Channel is now offered in the most popular hues, with a more rigid face that provides better aesthetics. Both are virtually maintenance-free, never need painting and are backed by a lifetime-limited warranty. Color-clear-through construction also means scratches won’t show.
