Central Garden & Pet awards honors
Central Garden & Pet announced the winners of its 2015 Vendor Awards, which took place at the Central Garden Distribution Dealer Show in Las Vegas.
The awards were presented prior to the show's opening on August 25:
Partner of the Year went to The Espoma Company; the Key Partnership Award went to Bloem; the Sales Excellence Award was awarded to H.D. Hudson; and the eBusiness Partner of the Year Award went to Dramm Corporation.

“We think it’s vital to recognize the garden industry partnerships that have a positive impact on our distribution success,” said Wes Martin, VP garden distribution sales.
The Partner of the Year Award was presented to New Jersey-based Espoma Company, a natural and organic products supplier for the lawn and garden industry including plant and lawn foods, potting soils, supplements, and pesticides.
Bloem Living, a Grand Rapids-based supplier of plants and accessories, garnered the Key Partnership Award for its 2015 achievement in delivering innovative products and sales ideas including strategic initiatives in sales and product training, and field support.
Chicago-based sprayer company H.D. Hudson was recognized for the Sales Excellence Award, which is presented for the ability to bring innovative products to the outdoor market and for success which translates into significant sales growth of the independent retail customer.
Finally, watering tool company Dramm won the eBusiness Partner of the Year Award for its proven track record and exemplary support through various digital initiatives such as timely information upload and online product accuracy.
“Our vendor partner business is imperative to our distribution success, helping us control shelf space while supplementing our Central branded portfolio,” said Trey Merritt, general manager of garden vendor partners. “All of our vendor partners make significant contributions to the growth of the industry and are passionate about enhancing the gardening and outdoor experience.”
