Briggs & Stratton introduces new and improved engine
Briggs & Stratton has come up with a new-and-improved engine technology -- this time not only with a Mow N' Stow engine, but with new Just Check & Add technology.
Mow N' Stow allows the mower to be stored upright, taking up less space in the garage (70% reduced storage, to be exact).
With Just Check & Add, it also eliminates the need for oil changes -- oil can be easily added when necessary.

With Just Check & Add, it also eliminates the need for oil changes -- oil can be easily added when necessary.
"Briggs & Stratton introduced both of these innovations separately over the past three years and we're now combining the technology to meet homeowner needs," said Rick Zeckmeister, VP engines marketing and planning at Briggs & Stratton. "Homeowners tell us that storage space and maintenance, including annual oil changes, are two of their biggest issues with outdoor power equipment. The Mow N' Stow featuring Just Check & Add solves both."
Just Check & Add technology also helps keep dirt and debris out of the engine, which keeps the engine running cooler. Clean oil and cooler oil means slower decay and breakdown of the oil. This means that consumers need to only check the oil level and add oil as necessary -- though regular scheduled maintenance is still needed.
"We've seen great success with the Just Check and Add innovation on the Toro all-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive models, so launching it on our SmartStow models is an exciting next step," said Wade Tollison, Jr., senior marketing manager at Toro. "Our collaboration with Briggs & Stratton helps us build mowers that meet consumers' unmet needs for more storage space and easier maintenance, without compromising on mowing power, performance and productivity."
