Bona US donated $100,000-plus in 2013

Bona US donated more than $100,000 in 2013 to a number of charitable organizations, including Colorado flood relief efforts, NBA Cares, CASA (as part of the company's Mission Fund), Colorado Gives Day and The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF). 

"Connecting with our community is important to us -- giving back is core to our mission here at Bona," said Chad Nordhagen, director of marketing, Bona US. "These efforts are driven by our employees, customers and partnerships. It's an amazing team effort." 

Bona's largest fundraising effort this year was its "pink mop" campaign, which benefited BCRF. Pink Bona Hardwood Floor Mop's were sold exclusively at Bed, Bath & Beyond this fall. For each mop sold, Bona donated $3 to BCRF to support its efforts to achieve prevention and a cure for breast cancer. 

Bona raised funds for the American Red Cross to aid cleanup efforts surrounding the floods in northern Colorado. Through its partnership with Colorado-area Lowe's stores, for a limited time Bona donated $5 for every gallon of Bona Hardwood Cleaner or Bona Stone, Tile & Laminate cleaner sold. 

As the Official Hardwood Floor Care Partner of the NBA, Bona also donated two gym floor-refinishing projects through its partnership with NBA Cares.
