Benjamin Moore opens a new Oakland DC
Benjamin Moore & Co. just expanded its distribution network with the opening of a new distribution center in Oakland, California.
The Oakland facility will help the paint company meet growing demand on the West Coast, as well as serve as the key hub for Benjamin Moore's burgeoning network of retailers and distributors in the Asia Pacific region.
The location will also support distribution of an expanded line of Benjamin Moore products.
“The opening of the new Oakland distribution center is a milestone for our domestic and international growth strategy,” said Mike Searles, president and CEO of Benjamin Moore & Co. “Benjamin Moore is committed to providing business solutions to support the independent retail channel.”
The DC will be a Silver LEED Certified Logistics Center, occupying 142,000 sq. ft. of the Goodman Logistics Center within the Oakland Airport Business Park.
The location is being leased to Benjamin Moore by Goodman Birtcher North America on behalf of the owner, Goodman North American Partnership.
Benjamin Moore also added that it is planning expanded distribution operations in Landover, Maryland, later this year.
