Bellawood adds oil-look matte style to its catalog

Citing an increasing demand for low-gloss hardwood floors in the U.S., Bellawood is adding prefinished oil-look matte styles to its product line.

According to the company, low-gloss floors are good for concealing minor scratches, dirt and fur, which is helping fuel the demand in homes with kids and pets.

Bellawood's new line achieves these results without the need to add a high-maintenance oil finish. Instead, the company uses a proprietary topcoat with a UV-cured aluminum oxide finish.

"Our new Bellawood line of oil-look hardwood floors has a special finish that gives them industry-leading durability and scratch resistance consistent with our transferable 100-year warranty," said director of production operations Stacy Maddox. "Blending the beautiful and low-maintenance matte finish with the enduring quality of Bellawood is an innovation homeowners will love."

Stain finishes will include Red Oak, Brazilian Pecan, Brazilian Cherry, American Walnut and Hickory.

Lumber Liquidators will also offer a 10% discount on all new orders of Bellawood Prefinished Hardwood and Ultra-Strand Bamboo products, now through July 22.
