Beacon Roofing acquires Tennessee unit

Beacon Roofing Supply, one of the nation’s largest distributors of roofing, siding and other exterior building products, has announced the purchase of Lookout Supply, a distributor of roofing systems and related accessories with one branch in Chattanooga, Tenn.

Although Beacon has locations in Tennessee, Lookout will be its first foray into the Chattanooga market. Steve Persinger, the current president of Lookout, will continue with Lookout as part of Beacon's regional leadership team, according to the announcement.

Headquartered in Peabody, Mass., Beacon Roofing Supply ranked in 6th place, with $1.8 billion in sales, on the Home Channel News Top 350 Pro Dealer List in 2009. The company operates 173 branches in 37 states in the United States and three provinces in Eastern Canada.
