84 Lumber has big plans in Richmond
84 Lumber will open one of its largest locations to date when it moves to a 92,000-square-foot facility this November in Richmond, Va.
The new space will include a traditional store and lumberyard, along with a door shop, as the company expands in the Richmond area after seeing significant growth in recent years, the pro dealer told HBSDealer.
“We have really outgrown our current space in Richmond and sought a new location that can better accommodate our operations and customers,” 84 Lumber president Maggie Hardy Knox said. “We’re looking forward to the opening this fall.”
The site was most recently occupied by Cedar Creek, the distributor acquired last year by BlueLinx.
Based in Eighty Four, Pa., 84 Lumber operates approximately 250 locations, including manufacturing facilities.
