Landon Tarvin, president of UFP Retail Solutions, has named Ryan Kemp as executive vice president of Deckorators. Kemp’s new role went into effect on December 29, 2024.

“Ryan Kemp has been an invaluable asset to UFP for more than two decades,” said Tarvin. “His extensive experience in retail, strong leadership skills, and stable management style make him the perfect fit to lead the growing Deckorators brand.”

With over 20 years in the building and lumber industry, Kemp joined UFP in 2001 as an account manager in Windsor, Colorado. He moved to Woodburn, Oregon, where he continued his advancement into new roles, including sales manager in 2013, operations manager in 2014, GMO in 2015, and vice president of operations in 2018. In 2019, Kemp was named vice president of ProWood and, in 2021, was promoted to executive vice president.

“Innovation is about more than new products. It’s about solving real problems,” said Kemp. “Deckorators provides composite decking materials for three distinct categories—dealers, contractors, and consumers—and the big differentiator for Deckorators is customer focus... We’re more than just a supplier. Deckorators is a supportive partner and consultant.”

“I am very pleased to accept this new role,” said Kemp. “There’s a lot of momentum behind the Deckorators brand right now. We have something no one else is offering and plan to continue product development, capital improvements and investments.” According to Kemp, Deckorators plans to invest $250 million over the next five years to sustain and enhance the company's growth.
