Massive former Minn. True Value DC sold
According to Radio Mankato, True Value's former distribution center in Mankato, Minn., has been purchased by Volk Investments Company, LLC. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The site is a more than 300,000-square-foot facility situated on over 60 acres of land at the junction of Third Avenue and Highway 14.
Volk says the site will become the its Volk Transfer, Inc. U.S. Headquarters and Distribution Center.

True Value operates 12 distribution centers, though it remains to be seen how they'll be integrated with Do it Best's nine DCs moving forward. During a 2024 companywide town hall, not long after Do it Best finalized its purchase of True Value, True Value President Dent Johnson and Do it Best CEO Dan Starr stressed that product will continue to flow through the combined network as normal, with the goal to avoid any disruption in business for True Value customers and Do it Best members.
"What’s clear is we're not going to need 20-plus distribution centers down the road, even with our ambitious growth plans to supply retailers,” Johnson said. "But in the very short term, they are all going to stay up and running.”
