Video: How to build a lumberyard

By custom-rigging a GoPro video camera to the site of their lumberyard expansion, the team at Kuiken Brothers produced a moving tribute to construction techniques, as well as the company’s own ambitious plans.

The video shows the creation of a state-of-the art 25,000-sq.-ft. drive-through warehouse expected to be completed this spring in Emerson, New Jersey. Using more than a million still photos, the time lapse photography is part of an effort to introduce the newly expanded facility in Bergen County that was acquired last year.

The facility will feature four loading docks, improved traffic flow and auto-racking as it doubles the on-site inventory of the Emerson yard.

Kuiken Brothers is based in Fair Lawn, New Jersey, and operates eight locations.
