Scotts Miracle-Gro plants some seeds for spring
Scotts Miracle-Gro is ushering in the arrival of spring with some resources and products to help the nation's lawns and gardens recover from the harsh winter, the company said.
“As a leader in lawn and garden care, the ‘polar vortex’ was certainly on our mind this winter season,” said John Sass, VP Miracle-Gro. “Many of our customers are worried about the damage the frigid temperatures might have caused to their garden or lawn. Miracle-Gro is dedicated to helping people get back in their gardens as quickly as possible so they can bring them back to life. Spring is our favorite time of year and we want to make it a productive season for everyone.”
Among the resources being rolled out by Scotts are GroSomethingGreater.com, an online portal where gardeners can share stories, tips and tricks.
Beyond Scotts Miracle-Gro's traditional Twitter and Facebook page, it also has its own @LawnGardenHelp Twitter handle for speedy responses to lawn- and garden-related questions. The #SolarVortex handle will be the site of a larger conversation about how people are reviving their lawns.
