RLDAM meets with Maine gubernatorial candidates

3/1/2018

With Maine Gov., Paul LePage, serving his final year in office, candidates for the state’s highest office came to the Retail Lumber Dealers of Maine’s (RLDAM) January meeting.

The Jan. 24 event gave candidates an opportunity to meet with industry leaders from across the state to learn about the lumber and building material industry’s needs and how local, independent businesses can help the state prosper.

In all, seven candidates running for governor attended the meeting to hear from RLDAM members. There are currently 24 candidates in the race, which will be contested in November 2018.

Candidates in attendance included: small business owner Alan Caron, Sen. Mark Dion, Rep. Ken Fredette, Maine Treasurer Terry Hayes, Maine Attorney General Janet Mills, businessman Shawn Moody, and Maine Senate President Mike Thibodeau.
