NLBMDA expands in early 2016
The National Lumber and Building Material Dealers Association (NLBMDA) has signed on at least two new members in early 2016.
James Hardie is the newest member of the association's Manufacturers and Services Council (MSC), a group of building material manufacturers and service providers committed to the success of independent dealers and regional chains.
James Hardie is a global fiber-cement operation spanning the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, and now, Asia.
"The entire James Hardie team is looking forward to working together with the NLBMDA and individual member companies in the months and years ahead to successfully capture the significant mutual growth opportunities ahead of us," said Robb Rugg, VP strategic accounts for James Hardie.
Also recently joining the MSC is Combilift USA, a specialist forklift and straddle carrier manufacturer producing a wide range of customized handling solutions for "long and awkward products."
Located in Monaghan, Ireland, Combilift lays claim to the world's first IC engine-powered all-wheel-drive multidirectional forklift, according to the company.
"We are delighted to further develop our relationship with the lumber and building materials industry by joining with NLBMDA," explained Gearoid Hogan, Combilift USA VP marketing. "As a member of the Manufacturers and Services Council, we look forward to learning more about this industry and supporting its growth."
