GAF to open second ISO facility

2/21/2018

Wayne, N.J.-based GAF will open in Gainesville, Texas, a new manufacturing facility for polyisocyanurate (ISO), an insulation material used in commercial roofing systems.

GAF opened its first ISO manufacturing facility in Statesboro, Ga., which began shipping material in August of this year. It plans four such facilities.

This ISO facility will be integrated with the company’s existing thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) manufacturing facilities and will enable GAF to efficiently serve its customers throughout the central region of the United States, the company said.

The plant will also produce residential sheathing.

Construction of the new 200,000-sq.-ft. facility is expected to commence in the third quarter of 2012, and the facility will begin operating in the third quarter of 2013.

“The opening of our second ISO facility demonstrates GAF’s unwavering commitment to create efficient and cost-effective solutions for our customers,” said Bob Tafaro, president and CEO of GAF. “The products manufactured at this facility will support property owners’ efforts to reduce energy costs through thermal efficiency.”
