Allied to distribute Siemens solar microinverters

2/20/2018

Allied Building Products Corp., a distributor of roofing materials and other exterior building products, has entered into an agreement to sell and distribute Siemens Microinverter Systems to solar contractors nationwide. Stocking locations will be located in Hawaii and New Jersey.

Offering increased energy output and online monitoring, the Siemens Microinverter system offers  homeowners and businesses a power converter that is designed with end users and integrators in mind, according to the company. The system offers many time-saving installation features and improved safety over traditional solar inverter systems, Siemens said.

"Working with the right partners is key in this industry," said Barry Contrael, director of Low Voltage Electronics for Siemens Infrastructure and Cities. "Siemens has a wide variety of products and services, but distributors like Allied Building Products are critical in filling the necessary gaps as well as maintaining relationships with the vast number of contractors and tradesmen in this country.”

This is the first distribution relationship between Allied Building Products and Siemens.

Based in East Rutherford, N.J., Allied Building Products Corp. distributes building products to specialty contractors from more than 200 locations throughout the United States. A division of Oldcastle, Allied's Solar Division supplies solar panels, mounting hardware, inverters and monitoring systems to qualified solar contractors.

Siemens Infrastructure & Cities sector is comprised of the Rail Systems, Mobility and Logistics, Low and Medium Voltage, Smart Grid and Building Technologies divisions as well as Osram Sylvania.
