Alan Bernick named chief legal officer at Andersen
Andersen Corp. has promoted SVP and general counsel Alan Bernick to the post of chief legal officer.
In his new role, Bernick will maintain his current responsibilities within the Legal Department and Internal Audit Services and will take on additional oversight for the Real Estate Services department. He will retain his role as SVP and corporate secretary.
“The CLO position recognizes Alan’s expanded role at Andersen,” said Andersen chairman, president and CEO Jay Lund. “Alan is a valued member of the senior leadership team and his oversight of our more than 9 million sq. ft. of real estate is an important responsibility.”
Bernick has been with the company since 2000 and had accumulated a wealth of legal and accounting experience prior to his time there. He is an inactive certified public accountant in Minnesota and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, as well as the Minnesota State Bar Association. He has been listed in "Who's Who in American Law" and in the "Best Lawyers in America." He served on the Minnesota Board of Continuing Legal Education from 2005 to 2010, as well as a chair of that board from 2008 to 2010.
