ABC Supply acquires assets of Sellmore Industries

Beloit, Wis.-based building products distributor ABC Supply Co., Inc. acquired the distribution assets of Sellmore Industries, a distributor of steep-slope roofing, siding and windows with locations in Baltimore; Philadelphia; Buffalo, N.Y.; and Hagerstown, Md.

“These four new locations will expand and strengthen ABC Supply’s existing presence in these markets,” said ABC CEO David Luck.

The atmosphere that helped Sellmore Industries build a loyal customer following will remain unchanged, Luck added. “The core values that Sellmore Industries had -- including taking care of the customer and having respect for contractors -- are very similar to ABC’s core values,” he said. “It’s a good cultural match.” 

As ABC Supply branches, the locations will continue business as usual, said Tom Kuchan, ABC Supply’s VP Northeast region. 

Sellmore Industries’ vinyl window manufacturing operation in Buffalo was not part of the acquisition and will continue functioning as a separate entity. ABC Supply will sell and promote its products.
