The Home Depot announced a $100,000 investment which will support the Ladies Who Launch organization’s Launch Program, a six-month grant program that provides selected recipients a cash grant of $10,000, in addition to community, business education, mentorship and more.

“In 2022, we’re doubling the number of women and non-binary business owners we’ll be able to support through our Launch Program,” said Sarah Friar and Kelly McGonigle, co-founders of San Francisco-based Ladies Who Launch.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Ladies Who Launch founded this program to support U.S. women and non-binary-owned businesses as they grow and scale their operations.

The not-for-profit supports business owners by providing educational resources, funding, mentorship, networking and community.

“We simply could not do this important work without the commitment, generosity and collaboration of our partners,” said Friar and McGonigle.

Through partnerships with groups like Ladies Who Launch, The Home Depot said, it continues to “build a more diverse, equitable and inclusive organization, within our enterprise and the communities we’re proud to serve.”

Rooted in equity and inclusion, Ladies Who Launch is committed to “bridging the equity gap in entrepreneurship,” said the company on its website.

“For far too long access to capital, business connections, and educational resources have not been readily available to women and non-binary entrepreneurs of diverse backgrounds. The Launch Program aims to combat this gap.”

Ladies Who Launch became a nonprofit in 2017 and is dedicated to elevating and empowering women and non-binary business owners and entrepreneurs.

Applicants can apply to the program through the organization’s website until the March 27, 2022, deadline.
