House-Hasson Hardware is holding its first in-person dealer market in more than 18 months.
The Knoxville, Tenn.-based distributor’s summer dealer market is scheduled for Aug. 12-14 at the Sevierville Event Center, in Sevierville, Tenn. just outside the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
And according to House-Hasson President Steve Henry, dealers are eager to hit a live buying event.
“The rooms reserved for dealers were all taken nine weeks ahead of the market. In the past, it’s usually about three weeks out,” said Henry. “Dealers are anxious to meet with vendors and our House-Hasson staff, and our team members can’t wait to see our dealers, who get a great benefit from our markets in improving their margins throughout the year.
Henry noted that House-Hasso plans to follow CDC protocols for COVID-19 protection. “We want dealers to come, take advantage of the profit-building sales and products offered at our market, and while doing so we want them and their families to do be safe.”
Pat McCutcheon, House-Hasson’s vice president of sales, said the distributor expects several hundred dealers at the market.
“We’ve been greatly pleased with dealer response,” McCutcheon said. “We’ve exceeded multiple times the number of hotel rooms we blocked out for dealers and had to add more.”
House-Hasson Hardware serves about 2,500 dealers in 23 states and the Caribbean Basin.
