HBSDealer produces a number of marquee editorial projects, from the Golden Hammer Awards ot the Hardware-All Stars to the Top 150 Industry Scoreboard.
Now comes a project with even more potential to shape the future of the industry: The Top 150 Next-Gen Leaders.
We’re asking leaders of companies in the hardware and building supply industry to nominate up to two rising leaders from within their organization.
What is the criteria for rising leader? We’re looking for young professionals who exemplify any or all of the following:
• Dedication,
• Passion,
• Expertise,
• Leadership.
But more than just these bullet points. We’re looking for the individuals who show up early, ask smart questions, raise the bar, and help move the industry forward. They might be managing key accounts, leading digital transformation, mentoring coworkers, or innovating on the jobsite. They’re the ones who bring fresh energy—and often fresh ideas—to the workplace.
Why this project matters
The hardware and building supply industry is at a turning point. As longtime veterans look toward retirement, the need for new leadership is real—and urgent. Identifying and celebrating the next generation of talent is essential to the continued strength and innovation of our space. This project aims to spotlight those who are already stepping up, learning fast, and earning the respect of their peers.
What honorees can expect
Selected Next-Gen Leaders will be recognized across HBSDealer’s platforms, including digital features, social media spotlights, and an upcoming print issue. But beyond recognition, we hope this project builds community. A network of forward-looking professionals—diverse in background, role, and geography—who represent the next wave of leadership in this ever-evolving industry.
