Stolen Baby Jesus returned to store
An Ace Hardware in Mesquite, Nev., that lost an important part of its outdoor Nativity set last year found the little figurine lying in a wheelbarrow in front of the store, according to an article in the Desert Valley Times.
No one is sure who took the Baby Jesus figurine from its manger on Christmas night in 2010, or who returned it on Dec. 4 of this year. But store manager Nick Janneck said the statue shows no sign of damage or neglect.
Mary, Joseph and the other life-size figures in the custom-made Nativity scene are all screwed securely into the ground. Janneck said he will put the Baby Jesus figure out only during daylight hours now.
