Cape Girardeau, Missouri: Southeast Missouri Builders Supply
Though its commercial volume comprises about 75% of its sales, Southeast Missouri Builders Supply services all kinds of customers, and has built its reputation as “The Builder’s Friend.”
Through its relationship with Do it Best Corp., the dealer has access to more than 70,000 skus of hardware, tools and building materials. Power tool repair and blade sharpening are among the offerings.
Something -- in fact, many things -- seems to be working right for the company, which has been doing business in the same location for more than 100 years.
Bensalem and Bristol, Pennsylvania: Construction Building Materials
A big believer in the power of technology and a heavy user of Epicor Eagle software, Construction Building Materials points to a tech-infused customer service as a competitive advantage.
“Time is money,” said Jay Saxton, director of sales and operations, referring to the efficiency that technology brings to the table. “The more I can get done in a day makes us more money.”
The company was founded in 1946 when Gugliermo "Butch" Cattani, Peter Cattani, Nicholas Listorti, Joseph Quaranta and Angelo Quattrocchi purchased one of the oldest businesses in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. The business continues to be owned and operated by the extended Quattrocchi family.
Construction Building Materials is a “Best of Bucks County” honoree for two years running.
