Handy Hardware gets busy in Houston

A new “Plumbing & Electrical Store” helped kick off Handy Hardware’s Spring Market this week in Houston.

The P&E store offered more than 1,000 ft. of planograms from key suppliers, and allowed dealers the opportunity to better understand new product and to refresh programs. 

“We couldn't be more excited about the first day of our Spring Market,” said Doug Miller, CEO of the Houston-based hardware distributor. “Dealer and vendor attendance was up, and the response we had to our Plumbing and Electrical Store planogram program was incredible.“

Handy’s Spring Market included nearly 500 booths of products from hundreds of suppliers. Even before the official opening, customers had two hours to take advantage of the special offers. 

During the market, dealers and suppliers were able to visit with the Handy management team, and that of their parent company, Hardware Holdings.

“We are delighted with the response and support from our dealers and vendors for our Spring 2014 Market,” Devine said. “We are confident that our dealers will see the benefits of Handy Hardware’s Profit Plus initiative focused on helping our dealers profitably succeed with their customers. “

Miller said Handy received positive feedback from the dealers regarding the company’s fill rates, new rebate program and new Retail Pricing System.
