Do it Best vendors up the ante for donations in Indianapolis

2/20/2018

Vendors at the 2009 Do it Best October Market donated $179,000 in cash and new or like-new merchandise to Habitat for Humanity.

Approximately 100 vendors donated cash and merchandise to Habitat affiliates in Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky and Michigan. The donations marked a 4.7% increase over the donations made at last year’s market.

Items donated included windows, doors, flooring, patio furniture, lights and retail fixtures, as well as many others.

According to Connie Costello, a spokeswoman for Do it Best, much of the donated merchandise will stock Habitat For Humanity’s ReStores, which resell the products to the general public to raise money for future building projects.
