Bosch announces Hammer Drill recall
Mount Prospect, Ill.-based Robert Bosch Tool Corp. in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission have issued a voluntary recall on Bosch-branded Hammer Drills that pose a shock hazard.
The drills affected were manufactured in Switzerland and include model numbers HD19-2, HD19-2D, HD19-2L and 1/2-in. 2-Speed Hammer Drills with model number HD 21-2.
According to the release, the models have a grounding system and trigger switch that could cause ground wire abrasion and ground connector failure. In addition, the switch trigger could become stuck in the on position, posing an injury hazard to the user. No accidents or incidents were reported.
