Bishop’s Pro Home Center on West State Street in Ithaca, N.Y., began its liquidation sale Dec. 17, according to an article in the Ithaca Journal.

Owner J. Forrest Putney II pointed to falling sales due to a poor economy and heavy competition from Home Depot and Lowe’s as leading to his decision to close.
