World and Main plans high notes in Houston
World and Main, LLC will bring Texas country singer-songwriter Kevin Fowler to the stage to perform for dealers and exhibitors at the company’s Spring Market in Houston on Friday, Jan. 22.
Formerly known as the Handy Hardware Spring Market, the World and Main Houston Spring Market is described as a major buying event for customers from across the Southwest to visit hundreds of exhibitors, discuss new ideas and trends, and gain access to industry information.
This year’s market will formally retire the Handy Hardware name. The event runs from Jan. 21-23 and will be held at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas. (Contact [email protected].)
“We’ve invited customers to our Spring Market for decades,” said Craig Cowart, president of World and Main’s Retail Distribution Division, “but this is our first-ever market under the World and Main brand. As well as the huge deals and discounts offered only at Market, we’re throwing an amazing party featuring Kevin Fowler to celebrate the retirement of the Handy Hardware name. The World and Main Houston Spring Market is definitely a can’t-miss event.”
The World and Main brand was introduced in October 2015 as the new name for Hardware Holdings, the parent company of Handy Hardware, HBC Home and Hardware Products and Jones Stephens. “Rebranding Handy Hardware to World and Main reflects the strength of our new company and the value we have to offer to all of our customers,” said Don Devine, president and CEO of World and Main. “At our January Spring Market in Houston, we want to celebrate Handy’s history and show the compelling values World and Main can provide to our customers to help drive their success in 2016.”
The concert is not open to the public -- only registered Market attendees.
