Show time for hardware
The National Hardware Show is returning to Las Vegas May 4-6, and this time it’s personal.
At least, this year it’s more personal than ever. Here’s why: Show organizers at Reed Exhibitions will provide retail attendees a personalized list of suggested exhibitors and products to check out when they roam the halls at the packed-with-ideas Las Vegas Convention Center.
The move is designed to maximize the value of the event for any type of retail attendee -- hardware, lumber, building supply, farm-and-ranch, or any other variety.
“With so much to see and do, sometimes it’s hard to see all of the new brands, products and connections to help move your business forward,” said Rich Russo, industry VP for the National Hardware Show. “That’s where we can help. New for 2016, once you register, we’ll provide you with a personalized list of suggested exhibitors and products for you to discover at the Show.”
The National Hardware Show has been providing discovery opportunities for more than 70 years. Each year brings changes — some large, some small — to enhance the experience, keep up with the times, and reach new people.
A few of the other new adjustments to this year’s Hardware Show:
Architecture: Based on feedback from attendees and exhibitors, the 2016 National Hardware Show is moving back to the North and Central Halls of the Las Vegas Convention Center, providing a more convenient shopping experience all under one roof, and patterned after the floor layout from two years ago.
Get ready for a calendar shift: This year’s event runs Wednesday through Friday, May 4-6. It’s a great opportunity to come for the show but stay for the weekend in Vegas.
Outdoors: The 2016 Show will launch an enhanced outdoor experience, now encompassing “Tailgate, Backyard & BBQ.” Not just a name change, the move marks an expanded breadth of product lines for the popular outdoor show-within-a-show (previously called “Outdoors, tailgate and recreation”).
The theme of this year’s event: “New Products. Big Brands. Essential Connections.”
AMONG THE BRANDS
“When you register early, you’ll be the first to receive important show news, including personalized exhibitor and product recommendations, a first look at Show Specials, New Products, and so much more,” said Russo.
