Builders’ Show sets up shop in Orlando
Seventy thousand housing industry professionals and at least one Hall of Fame quarterback are descending on Orlando, Florida this week. The reason: the 2018 National Association of Home Builders International Builders’ Show, the largest annual light construction trade show in the world. The pros will benefit from the latest in building product innovation and information, while the quarterback, Terry Bradshaw, will deliver a speech.
IBS returns to the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla., Jan. 9-11 where it will again co-locate with the National Kitchen & Bath Association's Kitchen & Bath Industry Show for the 5th annual Design & Construction Week.
The show will feature an exhibit floor with more than 1,500 exhibitors spanning more than 580,000 square feet of exhibit space, representing housing-related companies from across the world. In addition to the show floor exhibits, IBS will also showcase a number of homes in the IBS Outdoor Exhibits. The co-location with KBIS will include another 700 exhibitors and 420,000 square feet of exhibit space that registered IBS attendees will have access to as well. The combined shows will fill the entire OCCC and expand into the parking lots.
Show attendees will also have access to more than 140 education sessions led by renowned experts on a wide range of industry topics. Other opportunities for learning include special show floor product demos, the High Performance Building Zone featuring a series of interactive sessions on sustainable technologies and IBS Live sessions focusing on what's next in home building.
Other highlights of the show include a keynote address from Bradshaw, the four-time Super Bowl champion quarterback, and the IBS Spike Closing Concert where attendees will close out the week by enjoying a performance of greatest hits from legendary Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band, Chicago.
