LMC celebrates a ‘winning year’
LMC, the forest-products and building materials buying group, issued a state-of-the-business report celebrating what it calls a “winning year,” along with $3.3 billion in sales.
The highlights of 2014 included:
• truckload equivalents of forest products up 7.5% from the previous year; and
• 34 new stockholder locations with $337 million in retail sales.
The company held its annual meeting in March in Las Vegas, where it celebrated its milestone “80th Year of Building Business Together.”
During the event, LMC President John Somerville shared LMC’s annual highlights and outlook. "A combination of the best lumber and building materials dealers in the country, aligned with the leading suppliers in the industry, coupled with the most talented purchasing staff, will take all of our businesses to new heights in this market recovery."
Exhibitors from industry-leading manufacturers and mills were on hand to network with a record number of attendees representing LMC’s purchasing power of $11 billion in retail sales.
The dealer-owned buying group anticipates a busy 2015 with the opportunity to achieve record sales volume.
