Do it Best names a new DMM
Do it Best Corp. has named Jason Stofleth as its newest divisional merchandise manager, effective immediately.
In this role, Stofleth will lead merchandising teams for the co-op’s hand tools, plumbing, farm and ranch, housewares, and cleaning and storage departments. Working with each team, he will oversee the development of targeted, strategic programs and initiatives to help Do it Best members increase their sales and profitability across each department.
“We are thrilled to welcome Jason to our Merchandising team,” said Dent Johnson, VP of merchandising for Do it Best Corp. “He will add to the strength of our team through his diverse background which will enable him to contribute his experience in both analytical and technical roles as well as direct leadership responsibilities. He’ll bring additional value through his service-first mentality and a strong commitment to empowering those he leads and works with.”
Stofleth brings extensive business and leadership experience to the company, including serving for the past 13-plus years in leadership roles with Michelin Tire Corporation in the United States.
He most recently served as plant quality manager for the company’s Woodburn, Indiana facility. He earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Trine University in 2005 and an MBA from Indiana University in 2008.
“I am very excited for this incredible opportunity to add to the success of their world-class independent store owners,” Stofleth said. “Do it Best is a company I have long admired for their members-first and servant-led approach, and I’m eager to step into this leadership role at a time of both evolution and opportunity in the home improvement industry.”
