Depot expands delivery options

The Home Depot serves up convenience with DoorDash and Uber Eats.

Home Depot partnered with DoorDash and Uber Eats, reflecting the home improvement industry’s effort to feed the beast of customer convenience.

The Uber Eats partnership begins Jan. 22.

On Wednesday, both delivery operations announced partnerships with the world's largest home improvement retailer and its more than 2,000 locations in the U.S.

This collaborations are designed to make home improvement projects easier than ever, providing quick access to essential tools, supplies, and more delivered to doorsteps and job sites.

"Our stores are core to The Home Depot's business, and expanding our e-commerce capabilities is a key part of our efforts to deliver a seamless interconnected shopping experience," said Jordan Broggi, executive vice president of customer experience and president of online The Home Depot. Broggi described the new delivery expansion as a move that “offers our customers even more flexibility and convenience to shop in the way that best suits their needs.”

Through this new offering, Uber Eats and Doordash users can browse an extensive selection of Home Depot products from more than 2,000 store locations. Deliveries can be requested for on-demand service or scheduled at a convenient time.

"Together, we're breaking down barriers and making it easier for people to access the products they need for their projects, all from the convenience of their phone or computer, with the reliability Uber is known for.”

“We’re excited to partner with The Home Depot to give DIY and Pro customers immediate access to the home improvement supplies they need. Amidst a project and out of nails, screw heads or drill bits, on-demand delivery from DoorDash can save time and any added stress,” said Mike Goldblatt, VP of New Verticals Partnerships, at DoorDash. “As we continue our mission to empower local economies, we’re incredibly proud to connect consumers to more retail stores in their communities with convenience and ease.”

Home Depot and Lowe’s also can be found on the Instacart delivery platform. Lowe’s also has a partnership with Shipt.
