BFS drives for bigger and better
Las Vegas—Johnny Cope, the Builders FirstSource president of commercial operations, took the stage and shouted: “Our industry is about people, and about how we work together.”
That concept was in play all around Caesars Forum Convention Center, site of the 2025 BFS National Event. Thousands of BFS employees, suppliers and customers met here for three days of education and networking.
Operating with an overarching theme of “Driving Home Ownership,” the event hit on builder-friendly topics of cost savings, building science and design trends, to name a few areas.
The general session set the stage for many BFS success stories, including its 21 strategic acquisitions from 2023 to 2024, its 1,000 new trucks and its engagement in its digital tools — 35,000 takeoffs recorded on its Paradigm platform.
The new CEO Peter Jackson, who replaced the retiring Dave Rush in September , hammered on the three pillars of strategy. Growth, continuous improvement and smart investments.
“It's about capturing best practices from across our company and sharing them—sharing what works and where it works,” Jackson said.
The 2025 BFS National Event concludes on Thursday.
