Beacon names new EVP and chief human resources officer

Roofing and building products distributor Beacon announced that it has announced appointed Sean McDevitt as executive vice president and chief human resources officer (CHRO) McDevitt will join the Herndon, Va.-based company on May 3 and assume his responsibilities immediately. 

Beacon said that McDevitt will work closely with current CHRO Christopher Harrison, who will support the transition up through his previously announced departure later this quarter.

Prior to joining Beacon, Mr. McDevitt had served as EVP and CHRO at Apple Leisure Group, a $4.5 billion global integrated travel company, since 2019. There he was responsible for all HR functions, as well as corporate communications and corporate and social responsibility.

Beacon distributes roofing materials and complementary building products in North America through more than 400 branches throughout all 50 states and 6 provinces in Canada.
